Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2025 Enshrinement Set for September 6 in Springfield

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame is set to honor the Class of 2025 with an Enshrinement Ceremony on Saturday, September 6, in Springfield, Massachusetts.

 

This year's inductees include WNBA icons Sue Bird, Sylvia Fowles, and Maya Moore, alongside NBA stars Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard.

 

Additional honorees are two-time NCAA championship coach Billy Donovan, esteemed NBA referee Danny Crawford, Miami Heat owner Micky Arison, and the 2008 USA Basketball Men's National Team.

 

The festivities commence on Friday, September 5, at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, featuring an autograph session from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by a restructured media availability from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

 

The evening concludes with the Tip-Off Celebration and Awards Gala, starting with a reception at 5:30 PM, a red carpet event at 6:30 PM, and the gala program from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

 

On Saturday, September 6, the focus shifts to Springfield, the birthplace of basketball.

 

The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame will host a Jr. NBA Clinic from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, emphasizing skill development and teamwork for young athletes.

 

At 1:00 PM, the Coaches Circle Presentation will honor exceptional coaches with benches in the Naismith Coaching Circle.

 

Following this, at 2:00 PM, the Ice Cube Impact Award will be presented to Jalen Rose for his significant contributions to the community through basketball.

 

The day's highlight, the Enshrinement Ceremony, begins with a red carpet show at Symphony Hall from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, leading into the formal ceremony from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

 

This nationally televised event will celebrate the newest members of the Hall of Fame.
